Question...

If one of your best friends for 10+ years, was having a kid, and you were never told.

He hasn't talked to me since his birthday Nov 23rd, and I keep hearing about it from people who shouldn't exactly be fucking informed before I.

Just curious if you'd be pissed off...

Hasn't talked to you in a month. He's having a kid and hasn't told you. Did you do something the night of his B-Day that mighta pissed him off? Even something small that while drunk was blown outta proportion?

Who knows friendships end all the time, people get busy , and people outgrow each other. I dont know if mad is the word to use maybe just disapointed you thought you was down and they shut you out. Not really something you should get bent out of shape about like a they dont give a fuck bout you why should you give one back for them situation. Ya know what im sayin.

Based on the fact that you didn't state any possible reasons for your friends actions, and that you are asking here and appearing confused as to what your reaction should be, I'm guessing you don't have any idea as to why you weren't told. If you thought you knew why chances are you'd either be accepting of it or angry about it, not questioning what your reaction should/will be.

People rarely make completely irrational decisions although the motives might be elusive or difficult/impossible to understand, but at the very least simply ask your friend why before getting angry. As others have stated you may find that you've offended them in some way, or it might be something as innocent of concerns over miscarriage, and fear of getting close friends hopes up.. and letting it slip to someone they weren't close to.

I'd probably be a little disappointed...but if you don't know why then ask your friend. No sense in assuming the worst in the meantime.

´Two reasons..

1: He has been to worried about his own problem and hasnt had the time to think who he should tell it too?
2: He thinks u are a big mouth and would prefer to shut up about it from you.

Yeah I might be a little annoyed. Maybe he thinks you're going to give him shit about it so he's dreading it.

Why not just ask him about it and stop playing games?

No, we didn't drink.

Maybe that is the problem?

It's probably nothing. I wouldn't worry or be upset. Try putting yourself in his shoes. He is going to be a DADDY!

If he is truly your friend then you should be bringing him a cigar.

Why get pissed about it? It will do what good? Let it go, congratulate him, and catch up on what's been going on in his life.

You will find, as you get older, that the more people have going on in their lives, the less often they tend to talk about it, even with their best friends.
Jj and his best buds have been friends going on 20+ years now, and we didn't find out, until it was almost too late, that one of them was going to have a baby right around the same time we were due. It happens.
