I would have said this, even though it wouldnt have made a difference in my sentencing, it woulda been a slap in the face...
Judge: "Mr. Hussein, is it true you killed hundreds of kurds?"
Saddam: "Yes your Honor... But at that time, from the information I had, we had reason to believe they had in their posession, weapons of mass destruction, and were aiding terrorists"

It would have gone more like this:
Judge: "Mr. Hussein, is it true you killed hundredsd of kurds?"
Saddam: "No your honor... it was THOUSANDS. Get it straight, you infidel!"
