For the pats, San diego i just dont see New England Scoring enough points in this one. I think they will do a decent job in containing Tomlinson, but they wont be able to stop him. Looking at the final score to be 20-14ish.

Seahawks i think will force Grossman into alot of mistakes in the game. They say the colder/wetter the game gets, the better its for the Bears. I dont believe this. I think the worse the weather gets, the advantage goes to the Seahawks. The Bears have no real running game threat, esspecially if Grossman cant throw the ball against that depleted secondary. The Bears are giving up too many yards on the ground in the last 4 games, and the Seahawks line and Alexander have been playing much better. 24-13 seahawks

Colts and Ravens is the most intriguing matchup of the weekend imho. Best offense (imho) against the best defense. It is outdoors, wich does not bode well for the Colts and Manning. I think if Indy's defense shows up, as it did against the chiefs, the Colts win. I just dont see the Ravens putting up enough points to outscore Manning, defense or not. Colts win 17-10

Eagles and Saints i believe will be a good ole fashion shootout. Even with as well as Garcia has played, i dont think the Eagles can put up enough points to outscore the Saints. Defense will be minimal in this game, and we should see some fireworks. Bush will get into the endzone at least once, and Breese throws for 3 Touchdowns. 34-24 Saints.

Pats-San Diego - Chargers. Marty has Belichiks number. Brady despite the huge amount of hype he gets, does not handle pressure well. I expect Merriman to give him happy feet.

Seahawks-Bears - Seahawks. Grossman looked terrible. Unless he shows up more than he did in the last few weeks, Chicago will be one and done. The Bears D also looks vulnerable lately.

Colts-Ravens - Colts. If the weather is mild, I expect Manning to light up the Ravens secondary. The Colts D knows McNair very well, too.

Eagles-Saints - Saints, although I think this will be a tight game. The game hinges on whether Westbrook puts up big numbers and keep pace with the high powered Saints offense. Slowball won't work for Philly here.

Got a few injuries from the defense. Brian and Lance are shouldering all the defensive weight. I think the Bears can still pwn the Seahawks.

Chargers - Tom Brady choke. Not even Doug Flutie can save him now!

Ravens - Ravens insane D > P. Manning
Saints - No McNabb, No win.

Speaking of McNabb....

Now would be a perfect time to trade him for some draft picks. They're young on offense and there's quite a few good QBs in this year's draft which could fall far enough if they trade up, and just have Garcia to mentor the new guy much like Kitna will be for whoever the Lions get.

2 years in a row McNabb's season ended halfway with injury, but his value is still probably considerably high. Trade him just like I would in Madden 07 baby!

Maybe to Minnesota? Where he can play 3 more years and mentor Tavaris?

That move makes no sense for philly. He is the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league, and still young. Yeah he has had some injuries the last couple of years, but that happens. Plus the Cap hit that the Eagles would take would be GINORMOUS, and crippling. Im going to guess the hit on the cap would probably be in the neighborhood of 15 millionish dollars or so, i would have to see his contract.

But Dilfer was a game manager. He didnt do anything to cost the Ravens a game. You dont have to have all the skill in the world, just have to not make the dumb mistakes ala Eli Manning.

Thats one reason why Garcia has done so well for Philly. He doesnt make the stupid mistakes.

They're not saying Dilfer won them the super bowl. What they're saying is that he's not a fuckup who LOST them the super bowl. Put Danny Weurffel or Ryan Leaf on that Raven's team, you honestly think they win the Superbowl? No, because the QB would've fucked up at some crtical juncture, and cost them at least 1 important game. Tossed a INT, fumbled a handoff, SOMETHING. While Dilfer is no Roger Staubach or Joe Montana, he at least is competant enough to not fuck up frequently, and knows his limitations, so doesn't try and exceed them. Since he only infrequently fucked up, the Ravens won the superbowl, because of their other parts.

Well, on that we disagree. I think the QB position is the one position imporant enough that if you have a serial fuckup in the position, he can sabotage the rest of the team, no matter how good they are. All it takes is ONE fuckup against a team that is at least vaguely close to as good, and that can be the game, if it's bad enough. More than one... forget it.

The thing I remember about Dilfer is he was good for a few big plays a game. Jamal Lewis always was a fumbler and caused problems, but their D was good enough to overcome Lewis' fumbling and Dilfer's mediocrity.

I think Taxx's point is they completely handcuffed the O and won by D that year, which I agree with. Heck, didn't Tony Banks start half the season that year? Between the two of them, they were the height of mediocrity. Nowhere near as good as that stud Elvis Grbac they brought in next year.
