AT&T is slowly introducing their new TV service "U-Verse". Is anyone using it? It's not available in my area yet but it's suppose to be amazing.

it's somewhat similar to what we've been doing here for 5 years now

I like it much better than cable

it's pretty similar to satellite services

I was going to go with Dish until I found out they have a shitty HD lineup and we get no local channels. So we're going with comcast for cable and AT&T for DSL and phone. When U-Verse comes out in our area we'll drop comcast and switch to that so everything will be AT&T.

Local channels are still broadcast and most of them are now in HD.

Getting an HD receiver will bring in perfect picture & sound for those 90% of the time.

If you're referring to Dish, local channels are not broadcast in my area. There is a function on their website that you can check with. The most "local" we can get is new york city.

No questions, we're gonna go with comcast for digital cable but we're switching over when U-Verse comes to our area, which probably won't be fore awhile.

I was talking about your standard HDTV Antenna in addition to Dish Network's service.
