Since the Beginning of 2007 i have noticed a huge increase in Global Warming interests. I believe that now, finally people are opening their eyes on the matter. All that i can say is that its about time, but is it in time? or too late?

Haven't you watched "The Day After Tomorrow"??
We are all fucked. I heard about the big ice mass breaking off of Canada. That is some crazy shit. Someone told me it is natural but i'm seeing a freeze over. Or a nuclear war to end all the debate.

Maybe, but with how we are fucking up this world all the time, i wouldn't be surprised with some crazy climate shift because of the depleting 0-zone and all that jazz.

(B) But, we already know this.
Yes, we, the human beings, with all the stupid shit we do, are causing astronomical increases in the rate at which global warming is progressing presently.
No, we will not do a damned thing about it - hence, we are fucked until we kill ourselves or wake up and make some drastic changes, but we won't, because we are human, and change for us is a slow, slow process.
We will not stop driving motorcycles, cars, trucks, or SUVs; we will not stop flying airplanes or helicopters; we will not push hard enough for alternate fuels before all the oil runs out; major factories that dispense BILLIONS of harmfuls particles into the atmosphere will not be shut down because we, the consumers, so desperately love our desirable and precious trinkets, knick-knacks, and whatchamacalits (which is a damned good candy bar btw) that those factories produce; we absolutely will NOT change our lifestyles or our mindsets until it is too late.
We are fucked until we are dead from it, but that's ok. When California breaks off and drops off into the ocean, this house will become instant beachfront property and the value will skyrocket!

Global warming is cyclical and has nothing to do with greenhouse gases produced by man. It has to do with the sun's solar flares. Al Gore needs to shut the fuck up.

To think we are having no effect on our enviorment is way retarded. You guys suffering from some kind of ostrich syndrome? Is thinking about some of the envio changes to intense and scary of a thought for you ? WOuldnt it be better to go on the safe side than just say bullshit just in case ? People use that arguement to tell me I need to beleive in god or else all the time.

I believe that recycling, cutting down on exhaust emissions, keeping pollutants isolated, etc. are all good and important things, but Al Gore is LYING to the public by saying that "Global Warming" is the result of man's treatment of the environment and that we are headed for major catastrophe because of it. That's the bullshit about it. He's trying to use a scare tactic for some insane reason (probably to fund some liberal bullshit agenda). We should be more concerned about a gigantic asteroid breaking through the earth's atmosphere, gearing up for major earthquakes, or even a possible nuclear winter than we should about algore's "global warming" nonsense.

the snow reflecting is causing the hole...and there is enough plant life in the ocean to keep this planet alive long after we are dead
that's the truth.....believe it or don't

Rrrriiiigggghhhttttt
And the CEO of Exxon and the Republicans have nnooottttthhhhiiinnnngggg to gain by making global warming to be nothing more than a "cycle."
You're on a roll dude, but wrong section.

I'm concerned with the roughly thousand billion tons of frozen methane hydrate that is on the ocean floor, and the consequences of it's disintegrating if the ocean warms.

Lying implies knowing what you're stating is wrong, and still stating it anyway. You may believe what he's saying is wrong, but I can pretty much guarantee you HE believes it is right, in which case it isn't lying. I know I believe that global warming, while there may be cyclical elements to it, is being drastically effected by human activity. Oddly enough, most scientists agree with my andn Al Gore's position.
Furthermore, it is entirely possible for scientists to be completely behind the global warming theory, and not be pushing any political agenda whatsoever. Science, after all, just is. Facts are facts, data is data, etc. and the conclusions may well be entirely independant of any sort of moral or political agenda, ethos or mindset. When a weatherman on TV tells you it's going to rain tomorrow, is he furthering a political agenda? No, he's telling you his scientific conclusion based on the available evidence. I believe that the vast majority of scientists who believe in global warming are doing the same thing.
Indeed, I would be willing to bet that at least a significant minority of those who OPPOSE it are doign so out of a political agenda, in the same way that the Tobacco industry was able to find accredited scientists to testify before congress that they believed that tobacco smoking nwas harmless. There are certain industries with HUGE financial incentives for global warming to be inaccurate. Keep that in mind.

it's a real thing and I believe it is possible to repair it. I have started on an individual level by doing everything I can and I can only hope it catches on.

Look at the fucking DATA Mindia. Facts do not show political bias.

by Narrock
I did look at the DATA and that's why I'm calling bullshit. Global Warming is not the result of human's emitting greenhouse gases and pollutants into the atmosphere. I'm sure it's not helping matters any, but the fact remains that global warming is a cyclical event with or without man's intervention.
p.s. Don't bother posting "data" or links to support your claims. They are biased so they are worthless.
Oh I can't wait for the brainwashed drones to start posting "data" from government sites. ROFL

No one is arguing that it's NOT a cyclical event. The data clearly shows that the last 100 years have thrown the natural cycle WAY off. Like off the scale.
Posted: Thu Jan 25, 2007 10:49 am
by Narrock
Records of Global Warming only go back about 400 years. That's hardly a basis for determining that the last 100 years have thrown the natural cycle "WAY off."
