Max Tan and Alternative tan both have good reputations.

I would go to alternative tan though, it has an unlimited pakcage for 29.99 a month in their "base" beds wich is what you need. That way you can tan more frequently to build up your tan with you pasty skin!

Start with a schedule of mon/wed/fri of tanning and stay religous with it.

gosh i seriously am so very pasty :( i think that's the one thing i'm going to splurge on when my raise goes into effect--a tanning plan. obviously my skin type isn't going to allow me to get very dark, but really, anything will be better than my current shade of "transparent" hehe . . . i'm going to start running outside when it gets nicer out and i don't want people to think they saw a ghost. :P

Don't go fake. Natural is better in every way~

we have negative wind chills here, man. going natural just isn't a possibility right now. plus, working 8 to 5 doesn't give me a lot of time to be outside in the sun during the day. i'm kind of stuck. :\

No, I mean natural as in, you don't need a tan to look good. Trust me, it's just as cold if not colder here.

You already got a man, who you trying to impress?

i like to impress my man every once in awhile hehe . . . make him remember what he's got.

anyhoo i realize that it's vain but i just really hate how pasty white i am :( it's embarrassing to be in cardio classes full of women my age and older who are rocking some healthy tans and then have to look at myself in the mirror wall in front of us and see how yuckily white i am compared to all of them (and it's not like i'm the only one who notices--i've had my pastiness pointed out to me on many an occasion by friends and strangers alike :( ). i am well aware that it's stupid but it would make me feel better.

I'm as white as you...once in awhile I've felt the same way...was called casper once in awhile in fact. Never fake tanned ever. At least though if you're doing it, you sound like you're doing it for you, and not someone else. Though I don't know why, you're beautiful the way you are lady.

Just remind yourself that you are statistically far less likely to develop skin cancer than those who keep tanning, and when you get old, your skin will still be soft, and won't turn the consistency of the bottom of an old shoe.

Statistics that are based on a trial group of people that used to burn the crap out of themselves in the sun, with baby oil and iodine before indoor tanning. Gee i wonder why those people have skin cancer.

As far as the consistency of the bottom of an old shoe goes, yeah if you tan too much you will get the leather look. Moderation of tanning, and lotions that are now available (that were not with those same people) help avoid that.

I could go on and on against the negative indoor tanning propaganda. But i wont :boots:

My mom looks like leather. It's sad.

My cousin also just got a bunch of cancer spots removed from her back and chest this past year from tanning. Be careful Leah.

ugh...no tanning. so ugly. your skin is beautiful why waste money on burning it.

I agree with taxx, get over your insecurities and like yourself the way you are. tanning won't make you like yourself more, only temporarily. you have to pay more to keep it up.

if you're going to pay money to make yourself look a certain way, at least don't ruin your skin and do the spray tanning. that's what all the girls do in charleston, except me.

There's your answer.

Now that that's done, I really think you should reconsider tanning and just go with the under the desk BJ's if you wanna impress Mr. Boyfriend.

If he is on a big raid or something, he may not notice that either.
