Fucking lame. The cop says I was doing 46 in a 35 while it was raining, Meter said 41 when I looked down, he said it was because my tires were too big and offclocked my meter until i got it reset. Thanks for the info give me a break? Nope, a fucking ticket. New cops and their quota's ><

Yes I know I deserved it but give me a breakkkkkk, damnit.

There's a cool club in downtown Modesto called Fat Cats. Great lighting and a decent DJ. There's a lot of smokin' hawt chicks who hang out there.

The CHP is making a more concerted effort to catch speeder this year. In the bay area alone they gave out 4 times more ticket than last year at this time.

Cops have one of the most difficult jobs out there. It sucks to get a ticket, but you were doing something illegal (speeding). Unless it's an extreme situation where the cop like... tasers you for "no reason", I hate it when people bad mouth them for doing the job they are paid to do. I'd much rather have them out patrolling the roads than sitting on their asses watching daytime television.

I know I was doing something illegal, i'm just merely stating that it fucking sucks. I could really use this 160 or whatever i'm going to have to pay, and i'll have to do traffic school so my 450$ insurance doesn't raise to 510 or whatnot. Anyone have any exp with traffic school? I've never done it / nor do i know much about it at all.

do they have STOP classes out there?

here they are only $60 and you don't get points off your license, but you can only take them once every two years

If you go into court and plead no contest they're pretty fair about dropping the points, especially with a first offense - that's what I noticed with the one ticket I've ever gotten anyway

Not really. If you're sincere about it and not trying to be a douchebag they are normally pretty cool about it. I've gotten pulled over at least 10 times and I've never gotten a speeding ticket since age 16. The reason I hate Modesto cops is because I've been pulled over twice there and both times I was 4 miles or less over the limit. Not only that, but they let me off each time and spent a fucking half hour each time going over my insurance and license info to the point I would have rather paid a ticket if the process was prompt.

doesnt even need to be your first offense. i have done it at least 10 times over the years. never had points, never had driving school and never had to pay court costs over the value of the ticket. more than once all i paid was 50 bucks.

and yet, most people are so afraid going to court they just do what they're told and pay the fine or go to traffic school. :dunno:

You have to own a car to know about courts treating women better than they do men?

Shut the fuck up, moron.

Well, we heard about his experience in courtship... so I'm going to guess he had it coming whatever it was.

Did you ask to see the radar read out? You do have the right to do so especially if you have reason to disbelieve the ticketing speed.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/speedocalibcalc.html

You should be able to calculate what your speed actually was assuming your meter was right with stock tires.

Well, considering I was there for a not guilty plea and I was basing that on the people I saw pleading no contest who got off pretty easy (all of whom were men, btw) I dont know if that actually applies this time~

No contest means ? opposed to not guilty?
