Do something like dry ice or should it be fine? If I ship it out Monday afternoon it makes it by Friday afternoon their time, so Thursday night our time.

I'd check with the carrier, dry ice might be considered a no no because of a potential for "bomb" material. If water is added to a sealed container with dry ice pressure build up is substantial, creating a non fire based explosion or propellant. You are probably best off freezing bagged water (like the rubber bladders used in coolers), but again check with the carrier and see what they would recommend.

Well that's the thing too - it goes through 2 carriers because it just starts with USPS then goes to a NZ courier. I'm thinking just packing it deep would work okay and mark the box as perishable because that I know of they keep it in a refrigerated section of the planes etc if it's a perishable item.

I don't think they'd go bad, I just don't want my chocolate to melt >< I spent too much time making it lol

They don't do international I mean I'm not set on dry ice, it was just the only thing I could think of off the top of my head.

Yes but if UPS allows it inter state there is a good chance the international carrier will have no problem with it, and it would probably be the best option assuming they allow it.

Fastest answer...just call your local UPS store, FedEx, etc. and ask. There was something on the radio the other day about sending Arby's sandwiches to some guy in Germany. They called in to the UPS store and they said dry ice is fine for sending overseas.

You may just want to take the items to whatever place you want to ship it from and have them pack it for you? I've never shipped anything like that but it's a thought...

You should invest in a Styrofoam cooler and some dry ice

Oh, pack the brownies with a piece of bread. Will keep them from going stale.

This made me LOL. Of all the foods available here to send to someone in Germany... an Arby's sandwich seems too funny.

Well, the guy was actually just back from Iraq and stationed in Germany. His leave got cancelled or something to come home for the holidays and I guess he was "thinking Arby's". The DJ ended up flying the sandwiches to Frankfurt himself....but they had quite the investigation on how to mail them there before he ended up flying them instead.

Jamocha shakes are yummy, though...
