I'm looking to book a 2 night stay in orlando from 3/18 - 3/20 - we stayed at days inn last time which was fine, but this is for a birthday weekend type thing and i'd like to go like a notch or so up from that. i don't want to spend too much more than 60 a night, max around 80 - considering it's a sunday - tuesday stay i don't think that should be too hard. nothing fancy by any means, just a bed that doesn't feel like sleeping on a rock and a shuttle to universal
clarion had a good deal going on but from what i saw didn't have the shuttle.. anyone who stays in orlando fairly often have a good idea where to look?

i can't really help you with the location but i will say that from my experience, hampton inns have freaking AWESOME beds. ^_^ i stayed in one in arizona and they are soooo comfy!

Shitty motels here cost 60-70 a night, I have no idea how you can go UP with that given expense.

Orlando hotels are pretty cheap because they want the Disney tourist money.
Gysp...you can always negotiate a better price with the management. My dad travels a lot and he always gets his rooms at about half the cost. If one place won't deal he leaves and tries another.

Stay at a resort. There are some great resorts there that don't cost that much more than a hotel and offer sooo much more.

Well like I said, I'm not looking for something big and fancy or 3+ star or anything, I'm just looking for a step up from your run of the mill motels that feel like you're sleeping on a cement slab. I dunno if this will load but this is the one Im thinking of

well I can do that at my house >< I mean I'm not saying the fucking won't be done, but a comfortable bed isn't necessary for that really. I just don't want to wake up with a sore back from a cardboard mattress, I'm old and frail.
