Login Problems...

First time this is happening to me. I get to the login, I enter my station name and pw, and that is the end. Sometimes when I do that it also brings up this following message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Buffer overrun detected
Program: C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\eqgame.exe.
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the program's internal stat. The program cannot safely continue execution and must now be terminated.
I have reinstalled EQ. I have tried with Norton enabled and disabled. No luck so far. Thanks in advance for the advice.
