I say it's normal for all guys to do that unless they're gay and they fantasize about other dudes or whatever.

If you're attracted enough to your SO there really isn't a reason to think about others. I guess it depends if you're in love or not.

I agree with Tacks here. If you are attracted to someone physically and mentally, you dont think about others.

Even if you're in love, you are still going to have passing thoughts about sex with someone visually attractive, especially for men age 18-30. It's perfectly normal, and has jack and shit to do with satisfaction or love. It's simply lust. We are human. We lust.
That twilight blissful feeling of being "in love" only lingers for so long, and, during that period, there may not be any fantasizing, but eventually that time passes.
I'm plenty physically attracted to my husband, and I fantasize about having sex with other women all the time. =P

I just don't see that. I'm with Triel on this one. For 1, I'm definately against cheating or deception of any nature in relationships but I think that fantasizing about other women is total reflex regardless of how committed you are. I also don't think there's anything wrong with it unless you act on those impulses behind their back.

I never once thought of another woman even briefly with my last girlfriend. The ones before that I did, making me believe the difference is in me being in love or not.

My situation has been the same. I've had committment problems most of my dating years, I was with one for quite a while and not once in any point did I fantasize about another women. Strange at the time I thought, whether it was Love or not i'm not sure. But I do now with my current one, I would never act upon it ofcourse, but it happens.
