Spring finals will finish in about 8 hours and oh boy! am I excited. So much studying has been had and more than a few times have I thought. Wow, you should switch majors because writing papers seems to be the way to go come finals. The last three days were filled with four and a week earlier a five problem differential equation test which got me thinking how very little I could apply this to the engineering to come.
The depth of my books feature some, but not enough of life application , but in the next year my understanding of it will grow exponentially I hope and then I can look back and smile. Unless I switch to being an English/Chinese major - to be a teacher/translator.

Stick to engineering, you'll use a lot of what you're doing now in terms of math and such, and you'll enjoy it. I am~

Now that my business can pretty much operate without me being there more than once a week, I'm thinking i should go back to school. I got associates in Comp Science, so what should i do nowadays: go for Electronic Engineering or Comp Science further. I like both fields, not sure where more future lies.

Electronic Eng, too many people going for Computer Science, plus a lot of what you use early on in Comp science directly relates to that of Elec Engineering. Once you branch into different sub categories of Computer Science which i'm sure you have, you won't use as much in Elec engineering, but it's worth it. Just like Architectual Engineers and Civil Engineers (me), the job market for the Architectual is so vast because so many people are going into it, much like the medical field. So professions such as Civil Eng, Elec Engineers, etc can get ahead early and stay ahead in terms of seniority.

Go for Marketing! It will probably apply more to your current business and the only numbers you'll have to worry about are the ones with dollars signs in front of them.

Even though I'm good in my little nitche business, I do not see myself doing that for rest of my life. I gives me good source of income without spending energy, but it does not give me enjoyment.

I'm really a teck guy doing construction business, I'd rather do teck since i love the field, plus i gotta look realistically at my business: in 10 years Home Depot/Lowes/Meynards will be 100% market and mom and pop stores will go where electronics and appliances stores went. I'd rather be ready for that time.

If you want to be an engineer, go the software route. There are alway jobs for programmers.

I'm in the exact opposite position, Ganzo. I've been in Tech for 15 years and want to find a nice niche business to run and that'll support me.

No disrespecting my cardigan sweater, foo.

Nah, I have brainstormed for a while and still don't have any good ideas. Plus, I'm not Yiddish so don't have free cash from wealthy Jews to get me started. Those damn Catholics are all poor.

Ya, I just like the word Yiddish. Plus, I have a few New York friends of the Yiddish variety who speak it frequently.
