hp 3390 all in one

Anyone really familiar with these? I was using the fax from computer function just fine and then all the sudden it says cannot connect to the device; I've updated all the drivers, I can print to it just fine, scan from it just fine.. everything works but accessing the fax info from any of the computers, which was just totally random. It did work fine before, so I'm totally baffled - driving me nuts.
