so I work in a little tiny small office, all of 3 people, and I'm not sure why it's even necessary as we get maybe 3 calls a day but my boss wants a little system to transfer calls and such. we're just a tiny office so obviously we don't want anything too expensive and I think even a VoIP system might be overkill.. anyone have any ideas as to what would be the best solution for us?

Talk to your TelCo. A lot of them offer mock PBX's where everything is actually done on their network & you don't need to actually purchase / install one.

We have a pretty extensive phone network here but your phone company and/or a telecommunication specialist should be able to do whatever you need for cheap cheap.

Yeah, like they said, just call the company, it shouldnt be very expensive I wouldnt think. Ours has like a dozen or so extensions and it wasnt bad
