I used the 'speakeasy' one to Palo Alto.

Speed Test Result:

5110 download / 656 upload (Kbps)
(623.8 / 80.1 KB/sec)
Compared to the average of 856 tests from sbcglobal.net:
* download is 102% better, upload is 44% better

396 / 232 (Kbps)
(48.3 / 28.3 KB/sec)
Compared to the average of 116 tests from suddenlink.net:
* download is 90% worse, upload is 42% worse



I dont know what the fuck any of that means, but I think it sucks

using the palo alto one too

Compared to the average of 3347 tests from comcast.net:
* download is 20% better, upload is 7% worse


with wow and vent and all that shit running, if that would matter. :dunno:

* download is 25% better, upload is 19% worse

Upload is usually capped around 60 KB/s for my brand of cable modem on RR's network & I've achieved higher download speeds when pulling multiple files from multiple sources. Just the other day I hit 1.9 MB/s.

Use one that is geographically closer to your own location, silly.

Thats like me testing my connection on a server in Seattle.

Upload Speed: 245 kbps (30.6 KB/sec transfer rate)



Thats what showed up with the one 45 miles or so from me. Beter I think?

On my wireless laptop upstairs. I'll try it again on my Linux server on my DMZ to see if there's a difference. Also, I bet my work VPN eats a chunk of this up...
