so my dad asks me to look at his PC cause he can't wch movies on it anymore, i come over and all his avi, mov, etc.. files are playing up side down. don't mater what player they in, player is positioned normaly, but picture is upside down

his tv capture card does same thing, captures video upside down

how the fuck did he do that, and how do i fix it

Uninstall of his codecs you can find, and then reinstall them.

If i remember correctly, my Nvidia driver had a selection menu that allowed you to playback all videos sideways or upside down. I'd look at his video card display drivers and see if he has something checked wrong.

it was a conflict between DivX codec and dffshow codec
