If you ever want to see Naethyn kill himself just IP ban him from YouTube.

Your e-sword is extra sharp today Jay. lol

wtf is John Gibson, and why should we care?

Why doesn't it surprise me you are an Olbermann fan, Naethyn. A site just for you! http://www.olbermannwatch.com/

John Gibson is a commentator on Fox, he leans right but is ok. Olbermann is an MSNBC far left guy. Olbermann though doesn't even pretend to be objective. He's pretty much a far left blogger with his own TV show. He is a total shrill for the DNC.

Olbermann is supposedly a journalist, but one peek at his guest list tells you all you need to know about him.

http://www.olbermannwatch.com/archives/ ... e_list.php

Um, he went way further than "leaning right" in wishing for another 9/11, and then mocking Jon Stewart's heartfelt commentary of Sept 20th 2001. Face it, pretty much everyone at Fox does far far more than "lean" right. They are so far right they make John Birch look like Trotsky.

I can't see how this has anything to do with the original post, Olbermann might very well be incredibly biased, that doesn't change the fact that this Gibson character is calling for another 911.

How is this in any way something you would want to defend?

Jon Stewart is the man!!!

It's taking the message out of context. Listening to a DNC attack dog in a political game is worthless, similar to an RNC one.

Anyways, listen to the response yourself.

http://www.olbermannwatch.com/archives/ ... on_fir.php

So if you say listening to a RNC attack dog is worthless, why do you condone ever listening to Gibson?

-Arlos

Where did I say that, Arlos? I don't listen to talk radio, at all. I do however know bullshit spin and partisan propaganda when I see it. This is it in spades. Olbermann is the worst spinner on TV, as anyone who looks at his guest list, or watches his show and is't cheering for his KOS talking points can see.

Not that it matters. People will have their views. bias', beliefs, and preconceived notions.

No one even comes close to Bill Oreilly in bullshit spin and partisan propaganda.

Yes, because O'Reilly only invites guests who agree with him, and takes his marching orders from the blogs.

Olbermann is the most biased and worst news analyst on TV, period. His ratings are abyssmal and they should be. Even the young fairly dumb politically active people don't watch him. Why watch someone doing a monologue who doesn't care for any sort of debate, but is just a tool?

There are plenty of other liberal/conservative ones who actually have discourse and invite people who don't parrot them. The fact he makes O'Reilly, a blowhard, look so good by comparison shows what a piece of work he is. Olbermann is the opposite of what he should be, which is Anderson Cooper, who is the best analyst on TV.

I just listened to his response and he's full of it, when the nutjob columnist called in and said there needed to be another 9/11 his response was that he had found the 1 sensible person in madison. He was in essence saying what the caller said was a good idea or that he supported it. i couldn't give a shit about him mocking john stewart, I thought it was low class but thats what this kind of talk radio gets off on, it brings in the ratings.

This is the first time I listen to this guy, and I don't really see how he can be labeled as anything other than a right wing Olbermann, he is nowhere near objective. You can say that he leans right but is ok, because his views probably line up with your own.

It's this kind of BS that just serves to polarize the right and the left into two camps who hate each other and will jump at the chance to criticize the other side for anything.

I can honestly say, F this guy for supporting anybody who actually has the nerve to say another 9/11 would be a good thing.

Listening to a DNC attack dog in a political game is worthless, similar to an RNC one

You say listening to a DNC attack dog is worthless, and then you expand it to RNC attack dogs as well.

Therefore, if listening to Olbermann is pointless, due to him being a DNC attack dog, then listening to Gibson, O'Reilly, Rush, et al are equally worthless, as they are all most certainly RNC attack dogs.

As we have discussed before, though, I don't listen to any partisan radio shows. I didn't even listen to Air America.

-Arlos

He pretty much is a right wing Olbermann, Snero.

I can't really argue that.

However, this was taken out of context and made into the kind of polarizing silliness by Olbermann. I'm sure next time Gibson will be doing the reverse.

I'm not sure why I'm in this thread. I guess my simple point is Gibson and Olbermann are both fucking idiots. There it is.

Therefore, if listening to Olbermann is pointless, due to him being a DNC attack dog, then listening to Gibson, O'Reilly, Rush, et al are equally worthless, as they are all most certainly RNC attack dogs.

Indeed. Expand that to all the idiot blogs, as well. No argument from me.

Some actually do have discourse. Rush and Olbermann certainly do not. O'Reilly, Cooper, Brit Hume, Chris Matthews all do.

Most of politics is pointless. However, it doesn't mean it can't be fun!

Countdown with Keith Olbermann" (8:00 to 9:00 pm ET) continues its ratings surge, up +81% in total viewers (818,000 v. 452,000) and +73% in the demo (292,000 v. 169,000) over a year ago. "Countdown" maintained its lead over CNN, with a +9% advantage in total viewers and a +7% advantage in the demo. CNN delivered 749,000 total viewers and 273,000 in the demo for the month.

If you want I could find a few of the incredibly racist, anti-american, just plain idiotic things orielly has said, but I think it will just be easier if you type his name into

sweet, I finally got to use that =p

I will give him credit for his appearance on the Colbert Report. He's the only guest I've ever seen that didn't get owned by Colbert.

I really don't see in what possible context his comments would seem acceptable

nutjob says: I think we need another 9/11 so everybody will support each other again
Gibson: hallelujah we've found the only sane person in madison

then he goes off about the media and into john stewart

how can this be defended is what I'm wondering? Olbermann could be just as much of a prick, actually if he's that popular I can almost guarantee it, but he's right to call gibson out in this case

Olbermann gets killed every night. Try checking the Nielsen ratings, although I'm sure it's better to use percentages. It gives you something to argue. We only lost by 50%! We're up 81%!!! We winzor. We are neck in nect with arguably the worst primetime person in history, Paula Zahn. Woot!

Nice of you to try to use faux statistics. Now, how about showing me the total nielsen ratings for this year and do a comparison of viewers? Wait, here they are.

http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/ori ... ranker.pdf

Hey, look who's at the top. lol. Olbermann gets crushed by the second rerun airing of O'Reilly's show. But it's a win! He's up in the ratings! Er, but getting killed in his timeslot?
