Pissy mood today

So I was to take my oldest son to the airport this morning. Dallas Love. 7:55 am flight. Get up at 5am, cuz its a 90 minute drive, get the kids up and ready to go by 5:15, on the road by 5:25. That should get me to the airport about 7 or so, plenty of time.

Well here in the DFW area, they have a FUCKED UP highway system. I should have gone 30 to 35E N but I went 30 to 35W N. I didn't figure it out until I was way far up the road. Needless to say, I missed the flight, so after calling his Dad and telling him he wasn't coming home today and many calls to SWA to get my tickets changed, it ended up costing me $165 to change his flight one day. ANd I had to call in favors and switch shifts with someone from work so I can take him to the airport again tomorrow. I am so angry. Its my own fault and noone else's but its still aggravating.

Just thought I'd share.

I'm sorry. That made me LOL a lot harder than it should have

Sorry about your day Kiz. Yeah, the mixers Dallas have resulted in my taking mroe than one trip to White Water lake instead of home when I lived there. A friend of mine was once half-way to Houston before she realized she'd taken the wrong exit in the spaghetti bowl downtown.

when do your kids start school kizz? mine went back yesterday. he loves his new school. changing classes and lockers and homeroom...haha. he's so pimp with his camouflage cast on his arm.

sorry your plans didn't work out. I get VERY frustrated when something doesn't go as planned.

your story reminds me of earlier this year, when dude and I had just broken up but living together still and he had me drive him to the airport to go visit his ex-gf. we got to the city he was flying from, and goes, "where's the airport?"

I said, "It's your fucking flight dude I don't know."

he started freaking out and cussing and I thought he was going to cry. I was doing my best not to laugh but eventuallly I couldn't contain it anymore.

Both of their schools start Monday. It would have saved me $125 to send him home next week but he wold have missed two days of school.

I checked yahoo maps this morning at 5:00. I scanned through the directions because I have been to that airport 5 times in the last 3 months. It did say get on 35W N but only for 1 mile. AS I said, I have noone else to blame but myslef.

Based on most of the people here, that'd be a true statement.

but, at least they're not married, so that should make the splitting of assets a LOT easier....
