Yeah, just went and checked it out... finally getting out of the whole apartment deal...good feeling if you ask me.
Cool thing about it is that the previous people left pretty expensive fans in the living room and both upstair bedrooms. Very cool.
Should be moving in about 3 weeks.
I'm interested in hearing what bashing could be made from this.

Are your payments going to be cheaper or more expensive than renting? Also, if you have an interest only loan you're retarded. That is all.

townhouse is usually rental, but closer to house style than an apartment
ie have some yard and usually 2 or 3 floors

Maybe in Canada they're usually rentals, but every townhouse I see is usually for sale.

Insterest Only is the way to go if you buy a house and plan on selling it in the future.
Grats on your new place. Put hidden cameras up now before you move in, that way you can catch your whore of a wife in the act!!!!!
Sorry, I had to get it in there somewhere.

interest only is only ever good if you KNOW that the housing market is going to explode very quickly

Save your cash for a few years, and when the next Hurricane wipes out a few old people communities, then nab a house cheap, cheap!

You don't have to manage your own yard at a townhouse do you? That alone makes it worthwhile =P.
I can't do connected housing anymore due to my inability to keep my audio system lower than earthquake level watching movies / playing games.

That's also because you live in the middle of a region no one in their right mind would want to live. Thus, it's cheap as hell.
987 here in a decent area MIGHT get you a studio. A small studio. And don't expect it to be in SF.

987 here will get you an apartment that isn't too far into niggerville ghettos.

Why would I want to pay a million dollars for a 3 bdrm house where you live? Makes it pretty undesirable if you ask me

gotta remember, pay scales are a bit higher there too. that's one thing i miss about WI though, cost of living there was dirt cheap. ridiculous here.
