It's out now! TFC2 tried to cockblock them by releasing theirs on the same date. Fortress Forever beat them to the punch.

TF2 is a mod that costs money. What do you think it's built on, an entirely different platform/engine? Lol

I like the regular TFC, which is apparently the one you claim to be made by suckass valve. Steam engine isn't all that bad =/

Team Fortress owned. I loved that game - till the map hacks and autoaims completely ruined it. Demoman FTW. I used to love setting up pipe-bomb traps for scouts as they came running in.
The best map of the game (IMO) was the classic ole 2Fort2 -- wasn't that the first map? Basically just two forts facing each other with a moat separating them.
Damn those were the days... logging into Gamespy, hooking up with the clan...
Never got into TF2 that much. I guess I was soured by all the cheating in TF1. That and I started playing the hell out of Unreal Tournament.
Are there any servers still running TF1? Hell, I might try play it just for old times sake!

TF2 isn't even out yet.
Fortress Forever is a mod sticking close to the style and feel of TFC1 on the source engine.
TF2 is almost a completely different game. (with gay cartoonish models ALA WoW on a crack binge in an FPS setting.)

TF2 isn't out yet. It's being released by Valve on the 17th.
I actually played the holy bejesus out of the original TF, not the Half Life one, but the Quake one. Good times there.
There seems to be 3 or 4 games I'm interested in. Enemy Territory, TF2, and a few others that look neat.
I also plan on nabbing Bioshock when I can get it for 30 bucks somewhere, which I figure will happen around Christmas.

Yeah... I keep thinking of TFC as "TF2" - although TF is a Quake (id Software) mod and TFC a Half-Life mod mod. Something like that. Hell, it's been close to 10 years since I played.
I am trying to find a Quake I install so I can get it up and going. I am curious if there are any TF servers up and running... would rock to get back on a demoman again for a couple of hours.
