I personally remember when you, me, Jonathan, Chad, and Leslye were in solb and that fuck kept training us over and over. Talentless hack as I recall, went into solb pretty often back in the day to solo his monk thing or whatever but never got very far because he sucked, so he'd just train his mobs all over the zone and FD.

You forget that people think someone with no social life outside of the game, playing upwards of 12 hours a day = "good player".

Gear made 75% of the player in EQ.

Gear required time, and not skill, to acquire.

The remaining 25% is irrelevant if you can't put in the time to appear as good as someone who is likely less of a player than you. Example: Experiencing with someone in one of the top guilds and they blow fucking goats, but their gear allows them to suck so hard and not notice it like a "lesser" player would.

He also sat around and farmed every single useful "pvp" item so people thought he was amazing in pvp when in fact he just had more time to gather stupid useless shit nobody else wanted to farm.

He was one of the worst clerics we had when he was guilded with us and fucked up a lot.

most ppl who i've played with who were "good" at eq sucked cock in WoW cus they couldn't handle actually having to pay attention and making quick decisions etc
