A kid (which I guessed to be 14-17 after the fact) ran up to me with what I thought was a large knife with a mask on.

I pulled out my knife from my belt and went defensive. He ran...and I thought that was going to be it.

His fucking dad found me up the street thinking I had intentions of hurting his child. I talked with him for no longer than a minute before he was apologizing to me.

This kid ran up to me in a mask and a mock machete. I figured by the size of what was coming at me I was pretty fucked, again.

I pulled out my knife and was expecting the worst. Little did I know it was just a tall fucking high school kid.

He turned out to be 16, and doing this with cars etc. locally

you may want to consider moving to civilization some day

I drove out yesterday to get cat food and toilet paper. On the local radio they said all of the (registered) sex offenders in Charleston County were meeting up in one place for the night, in order to give parents a better peace of mind for Halloween. This just seemed, wrong..but funny. Yet, not wrong at all and still funny.

I don't go anywhere without a knife by myself. This is a really, really, shitty area.

I thought it was a machete? Little bit of a difference. So which was it? Id get a little more defensive over a knife than a machete
