First my system specs.

Gigabyte 7n400pro2 MB
AMD 2500+ Barton
1.25 gigs of ram (512x512, 256)(kingston 333)
Geforce 3ti500 (yes it doesnt belong there...but Im poor)
400watt PSU (not sure what manufacturer, too lazy to go look now)
I use both my onboard sound and ethernet...(realtek)

I went to sleep last night with my computer on, as always. I wake up and it's off, and WONT FUCKING TURN ON. I get the Power LED from the case and that's it. No fans, no HD activity, no CDROM, fucking nothing.

Ive tried booting up with just 1 of each stick of ram to see if they were acting up (theyre all brand new less than 5 months old)

Ive tried without the video card. Ive disconnected EVERY cable and wire, and reconnected them. Ive redone all the connections from the switch itself to the board...

Im just out of ideas...Any more would be appreciated. Ive searched other forums where it would make more sense but I didnt find shit.

Ok my PSU died. Put in another one I had.

I suspected it but forgot about it after I tried all the rest of that...my Dad reminded me and I went up and got another and that was the problem~

I think your PSU might be the problem.

The only reason I didnt suspect my power source was because it was BRAND FUCKING NEW.

Now I have a 250 watt PSU

But everything is going smooth still, less than what I can say about my 400...

don't EVER go cheap on your powersupply... Buy one from Antec or another top notch brand that is recommended by your MoBo's manufacturer.

A shitty powersupply can cause all kinds of weird obnoxious fucking problems long before it finally dies.

I was going to suggest pushing the little button on the front that says, "Power."

i heard a joke once that went:

what's the difference between joe torre and tom osborne

one coaches Penn State and the other coaches the State Pen

you see the humor in the joke came from the embarrassingly high amount of crimes committed by nebraska football players, in case you didn't know that

Heh, I had something like this happen once, same problems etc etc except in my case the power button had broken and was stuck in the depressed mode. Took forever to figure out wtf was wrong.

You mean Joe Paterno, Brinstar?

Joe Torre is the Yankee's coach.
