My Old Nano Ipod officially shit the bed and plus I want a bigger Hard-Drive.....any experiences with the zune is more then welcome because I am not prone to I Tunes due to its library ...when it comes to my 5,000 some odd songs I like it neat and organized.

My boss has a Zune. Got it off Woot for $89 a couple months back. As far as media players go, it's damn cool for the price. 30GB HD in it I believe.

I purchased a Zune 2 weeks ago.

I have charged it twice.
I use it every day for approximately 2 hours on my way to and from classes & while out and about. Battery life kicks ass.

I have only watched parts of movies on it because I really don't have the time nor the inclination to watch a movie on my portable media player when I have a nice LCD setup in my apartment.
What I did watch though was decent enough to see. It displays video at 320x240 with optional horizontal viewing for widescreen formatted shit.
My complaint is that you have to convert any movie you want to watch on it into wmv format & the re-encoding with the Zune software takes forever.

It is larger than an IPod & the interface is different. Personally I prefer the Zune interface because I have broad fingers that don't work well with the IPod's wheel thing.

i hate iPods but it's amazing the volume of accessories for them.....


that being said, the Zune has some neat capabilities, but like traditional MS style, they don't bother to integrate any of the shit in with the rest of their products

have a nice library of music that you've got rated with media player? the ipod will import the ratings, but the zune won't!

The Zune itself was awesome. The Zune software for your PC is complete crap. 20x worse than iTunes.

Get a cheaper 3rd party one

Good luck finding a comparable model for cheaper than a Zune.

There are cheaper straight MP3 players on just about every site I visit that sells that stuff.

Most of my friends swear by their Ipods, and none own a Zune, so I don't have any opinion. I have a cheapie 8 Gig Creative I bought last year on Black Friday that works great.

4GB Sandisk media player on http://www.woot.com today for $50.

i have a zune. I love it. they coming out with a 40g too i think.
