this is a issue that i been fighting with and can't get any info anywhere.

my friend got Dell Dimmention 3000, runs XT Home, board only has 3 pci slots, he wants stand alone video card.
got him this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=1603

now when i install it, it works untill i install drivers than xp will not run anything but black screen it it, yet still shows it in devices as running properly. got updated drivers, same issue. any ideas on what dell did to that PC that i can undo, and get those drivers to work?

does it have it's own IRQ or is it sharing it with something?

Boot in to safe mode and uninstall the current driver. Force a standard VGA driver in it's place and reboot.

Run the installer again.
