Hey guys I'm in a co-ed soccer league. Playoffs have begun I want to find out what you guys think of this situation.

There are 8 total teams. At the end of the season my team was ranked 1. Team 2 has won the last 3 seasons in a row. Team 3 is very good. All teams below 3 have a steep drop off - they aren't that good.

Anyways,

The first week went as planned.

1v8
2v7
3v6
4v5

1 2 3 4 all advanced to the winners bracket

This week they posted the standings and the following matches are setup:

1v3
2v4

This would seem incorrect to me as I think it should be:

1v4
2v3

I could be wrong, but in the current setup it puts a huge advantage to team 2. Any opinions?

That's fucked up but it's co-ed soccer. Just play and have fun.

Standard sports brackets always have the highest seed playing the lowest ranked seed.

The only exception to this is if the highest and lowest seed are from the same "division", but only for the first round of playoffs.

So you should be playing the 4th ranked team next week. As mentioned before though, its co ed soccer, i wouldnt worry about it too much. Plus you guys are the number 1 ranked team, you should have the we will beat anyone attitude.

I loved Co-ed soccer. Sucks that we don't have any leagues here in south florida. You'd think with all these brazilians running around we would have topless co-ed adult soccer leagues on every block but no such luck

coed soccer is indeed the win
