the Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is awesome/free as well

I'll see if I have copies of that shit lying around. HL1 and mods are old enough for people to run those pretty flawlessly too.

I still play ET every now and then. I'm shitty at online FPS though, but it's fun.

UT server is up and running, and I've got quake3 arena available too

UT is still awesome, but quake3 arena sucks donkey balls, so I got rid of that already, jeje


so, anyone interested in some sort of semi regular 90minute-2 hour fragfests on a fun game?

I'll play most games outside of the UT series.

I'd have to reinstall most of them though.

I'll look around for some decent mods & maps for Quake 3 that really make it a fun game instead of the crap vanilla tends to be.

i tried to play quake a few years ago and people are just too good now. they do some weird thing where they strafe left and right and jump over and over and it speeds you up faster and faster and faster. everyone was flying around the arenas at light speed shooting rockets and shit so i stopped playing

uh... you never practiced straferunning in EQ? & bunny hopping is old school, you had to get good at that unless you were a real grapple monkey in Q2CTF... I suppose you never skied in Tribes either? and god forbid you rocket jumped or plasma climbed!

I still can't get UT3 to run well on my PC for whatever fucking reason, but I have come to enjoy some facets of it. Particularly, feigning death

I play TF2 one or two nights a week with friends. I prefer it to UT or Quake.
