as i have been reading up on this in discover over the past few years, someone made an interesting claim, they said that it is essentially the most advanced thing man has built. i would assume when you add technology+synchronizing of human effort+size= maybe they are right.

basically it is. 27km, touches the borders of two countries, you acn run a train through it, some of those pieces are as big as cathedrals, etc. etc.
it said CERN scientists invented the WWW in the first place just to share information about making one of these colliders.
