I never used to mind her before, honestly, but the longer the democratic primary has gone on, and the more BS crap she's pulled during it, the more I have come to find her rather distasteful. She seems quite cheerful about the fact that she's self-destructing the entire party just because they haven't already crowned her in ex cathedra.

I still won't vote for McCain in the real election, he and I are entirely too far apart on too many issues, but what SHOULD have been a slam-dunk for the Demo's to take back the white house is being bungled away.

I just don't get why she couldn't say something along the lines of, "I lied. Sowwy!" And I hear ya about McCain. I don't really like him either. I think it's more that I don't trust him. However, I will vote for him in November (albeit hesitantly). Dems like McCain because he "reaches across the aisle" to "get things done." I think he should say "SCREW YOU!" and reach across the aisle and bitch-slap the dems. ;)

So, now with Obamagate (the Rev. Wright debacle), and now this latest catastrophe from the Hildebeast, I would bet that neither of those two clowns will win in November. :hiphop:

Actually, I think Obama pretty much put the reverend thing to bed with that speech he did, at least with anyone adult enough to actually listen to what he was saying in the speech.

The point is that yes, Rev Wright has, in some cases, some extreme political views. On the other, though, he's served his country as a Marine, he worked tirelessly to care for the poor, homeless, youth, etc. In other words, he's human, and humans aren't 1-dimensional cutouts, they have good parts and bad parts, and Obama feels that all the good Wright has done over the 30 years he was pastor before he retired outweighs the few times he went off the deep end in his sermons.

Mindia, I am sure you know plenty of people that you may like, but that you totally disagree with on a few issues, yes? Do you expect everyone you know, like, or care about to absolutely conform to your way of thinking on all factors and issues, and disown them if they don't? I can't believe that of you, so if you don't act that way, why expect Obama (or anyone else for that matter) to do so?

seriously

how do people get off whining about government when their mindset is "I don't like this guy, but he's on my team so I'm voting for him anyway"

For the same reason liberal hippies from another country comment on our politics.

Both aren't very bright and yet still throw their opinions in.

I hated hippies long before I even knew Cartman existed. Glad to see you knew I was talking about you as well though.

True, but I think Obama would make a horrible president anyway.

Well sure, rofl, but that's an entirely different kettle of fish. :)

Disliking him for the presidency based on his policy positions is perfectly legitimate. I was just arguing that raking him over the coals because someone he's friends with is occasionally an asshat is rather silly.

In my case with Hillary of late, it's her actions specifically that have been getting on my nerves. I haven't held stuff Bill's done that I didn't like against her, but things SHE has done HERSELF have really rubbed me the wrong way.

As for McCain, I can respect the fact that he at least claims to be wanting to run a completely non-negative campaign, and he'll definitely get kudos from me on that one, if he follows through. But I cannot abide his position on the war, which effectively works like: If things are going great in Iraq, no one's dying, so there's no need to bring the troops home, and if things suck in Iraq, obviously we need to keep them there to make it stop sucking! All of which translates to troops being there forever, basically. Plus, some of his actions (including the disingenuous "stroll through Baghdad" he did a year or so ago, and the way he completely reversed himself with regards to the religious right after they fucked him in 2000 bothers me as well.) So, no way will I ever vote for him.

What I'll do if Hillary wins the Demo nod, I dunno. I honestly don't know.

This is the absolute worst presidential candidate lineup I can remember in years. It's pretty frustrating. I wish the republican party would have given Ron Paul more credence. Instead, they just refused to give him a chance, and Fox news didn't give him enough air time. Then Sean Hannity said, "and then there was Ron Paul sounding like a complete idiot" and that didn't help ol' Ron with the republican base either.

Obama is way too much of a socialist and liberal for me. Yes, he's an excellent orator and he's relatively young, and comes across as a very intelligent, charismatic, and capable person. The problem is: A. His politics B. His lack of experience in the political arena, and C. His association with "Reverend" Wright. Yes, I know he denounced a lot of what Wright said, but he had to... he was backed into a corner. I would be willing to bet that he secretly agrees with Wright.

The Hildebeast is just a gut-wrenching cunt. She lies just as much as her dirtbag husband did/does, and it's clear as day that the clintonistas will do and say anything to try to win the presidency. Would you really want someone like that running the country? Holy shit. :eyecrazy:

I think McCain is a good guy overall. I do think he's too liberal on some issues though. He's supposed to be conservative, but he's not. His voting record doesn't warrant that label. I know he was a war hero and a P.O.W. and all that, and he when he had the opportunity to sell out the U.S... he didn't. He stuck to his guns and took the route of integrity, and was tortured over and over again for it. So, my hat is off to him for that. But still... there is something about him I don't like, or trust. I just hope he's not in the pockets of big oil execs.

Anyone changing their stance on a candidate because of what some tool said on T.V. who is essentially a noise-making bird with an opinion is a fucking tool themselves.
