Just finished Fallout 1, great game. I really wonder how I managed to miss this series when it first came out. Going to start Fallout 2 right now.

lack of a real pc when they came out? massive EQ addiction blinding you to other games?


I know I missed a ton of awesome stuff because of EQ

if anything fallout 2 is better, npc interaction having a car becomming a pimp. good stuff. just make sure you get the "unofficial fallout 2 patch" fixes many many bugs

Yup, already got it. Im getting really annoyed with The Den though, little rat bastard thief kids stole my fake citizen pass for Vault City.

Fallout was actually the reason I found EQ.

I played Fallout 1, loved it, then went to fallout 2 and they were sold out, so I remembered my friend telling me he played a game called Everquest and it was awesome. So I bought it and the rest is history.

just watched the e3 screener for fallout 3

it really really looks like Oblivion with guns

surprise surprise. i can't imagine fallout 3 will even be remotely comparable to fallout2... you probably won't be able to kill hookers, it probably won't be set in California, and it will probably have an E rating or something....

y'all played fallout tactics, too, right? that game is just as much fun as fallout 1 & 2 to me

it's set in washington DC

they didn't show a huge amount of gameplay, but it looked alright

I hated Oblivion. I know I'm in the minority but I hate all Elder Scrolls games.

Oblivion was perfect or anything (I didn't enjoy it as much as say Mass Effect) but it was really good.

if Fallout3 is as good as Mass Effect (or better) it'll be a lot of fun

Vanilla Oblivion was a good game, but it was the mods that made it really shine. I'm really hoping they release the editor for FO3 as well after seeing some of the amazing Oblivion mods.

Ok, just watched the trailer for Fallout 3. I want to play it even more than I did before!

Anyone else happen to catch G4's preview to E3? They had Todd Howard(Bethesda) showing off Fallout 3 and getting a little more in depth into the gameplay. Was pretty damn sweet!

Oblivion is a horribly flawed game. It's a game concept with terrible execution. It's just too ambitious a project.

Oblivion is the second best single player RPG I've ever played. I wish they had the balls to make it multi.

What's the first best...

too ambitious? Oblivion is retarded. it's like 1/20th the content of daggerfall and 1/5th the content of morrowind. HRRR LET'S GO TO TEH RED FOREST AND FIND TEH GOLD TOWERZ. the names are so boring compared to morrowind. the whole game is. it's like an Elder Scrolls game for 10 year olds... The only thing that's better are the graphics, and even those are pretty boring compared to gothic 3

Oblivion was a solid "generic" rating in my book.

It was good, not great, and nowhere near bad.

It could have EASILY been improved.

Morrowind is my sons favorite game ever. Oblivion is a close second. Both are well done but are too open ended and boring for my tastes. Too much wandering around.

I love Morrowind. I always played it by myself and never got into it, but after a friend got it we both started playing our own guys and telling eachother about everything we'd find etc.... then i started enjoying it after i realised how much there is to do. If my friend wouldn't have gotten it too then I probably still would've never played it

ditto with oblivion

i didn't get into morrowind at all, mostly because it felt super empty compared to EQ


with oblivion I think everyone I knew was playing it at once, and duro and i would sit and watch each other play, and chat about it while playing, etc etc that it was much more interesting

especially since we had fairly different play styles
