Taylor and Shockley both got traded this week. Lots of interesting things going on as training camp for the teams open.

Jason Taylor is a Redskin. I guess Tuna's EGO is as big as his waistline.

eh, they got future draft picks for a guy on the downside of his career, while they're in rebuilding mode

yeah, sounds like a terrible idea

I'm not sure why Parcells didn't want Taylor but I don't mind having him on the Skins. A top 5 DE in the league for two years, especially at a position of extreme weakness, is worth a 2nd rounder in 2009 and a 6th in 2010.

they're switching to a 3-4 and he's not really a 3-4 type of DE and I'm not sure I'd try to convert him to OLB at this point

That is true. He excels in a 4-3 defense. I think everyone involved came out winners.

Snyder wants to get his hands into show business. So far he has tried to do that through Tom Cruise and by purchasing Dick Clark Productions. Can you think of anyone else who wants to get into show business?

The Patriots have done pretty well using guys "on the downside" of their careers. I just think it's a matter of "my way or the highway" with Parcells. If Jason plays pro-bowl level for the next 3 years is it worth it?

they're also slotting guys that fit into their system, and they're also not in a major rebuilding mode

there's a huge difference~
