a can of smoked sockeye salmon my mom brought back from alaska
it was about the worst-lookin' thing i'd ever eaten, but sweet hispanic christ was it delicious
fried it up with s'm'eggs and rolled it up in tortillas with cheese, yummmmmmmm

I don't remember what it's called... something like "sum gum yum"
It's a Korean dish (I think?) of black squid ink noodles with a spicy garlicky sauce that also has squid ink in it.
I swear to the holy flying spaghetti monster it looks like a plate of gagh, only dead, but is sooooo so good.

and it looks sick to me because i think beets are sick. we used to make all kinds of disgusting beet dishes at a bistro i worked at. can't stand em. they should just be used for dye

Leeks make the best onion rings because they are fairly uniform in size so they cook at the same rate plus the breading sticks to them instead of falling off.
