Ok, so it's been comfirmed that the body of this thing is 7 foot 7 inches, weighs 500 pounds, has hair all over it and they are performing DNA tests on it right now.

It's fucking Big Foot. Can this be true? How can it be a hoax?

I definitely believe it's possible that it's real, it'll be interesting to see the test results. I've always believed in there being many things out there that we just don't encounter, it's arrogant to assume that we are it. Way to many tales and sightings of things by too many people. I know conventional wisdom says it's all wishful thinking but there has to be some truth in all of the stories/sightings.

Well, it hasn't been confirmed yet by any sort of independent authority.

It hasn't been shown to anyone who isn't already a Bigfoot hunter fanatic. I will believe it when they allow independent investigation and testing from multiple notable university biology departments. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. A photo of something brown and furry in a freezer means nothing unless it can be examined by real impartial experts.

If it's a hoax it's pretty funny considering they have all these "reputable" news organizations running around writing about how bigfoot might be real.

I half expected everyone to get rick rolled half way through the press conference.

at the press conference i guess they refused to show the body, produced two extremely blurry photos, and showed an e-mail from someone that apparently tested the DNA and in three different tests it returned: inconclusive, human, and 96% possum
