why would this affect anything
i use steam everyday so if there's some drawback to google owning it i wanna know

There is no immediate drawback, my point is they're just gobbling up everything on the internet like a monster.
Counter-rumors say it's not going to happen, recently.
Steam is by far the best content delivery system out there right now. If Google nabbed it now, it would be a huge win for them.
