Grandfather's funeral or best man at best friend's wedding?

A question that can only be answered with a question, my good sir.
How close were you with your grandfather?
I would say attend the wake if they have one, and be your best friend's best man. Nothing more can be done for your grandfather, and there are other ways to mourn than to attend the funeral. Life is much more worth living if you grieve where appropriate but celebrate as often as you can.

I spent a lot of time with him.
The difficulty lies in the fact that he died and will be interred in Seattle and I live in Ohio.
I think that I should not be the dark cloud on my friend's wedding day and instead default my position to the other guy who could have gotten the job earlier.

That sounds to me like your heart is pulling you to Seattle.
Your friend will understand I'm sure, and though being part of his wedding is a special, memorable thing, you only get to say your last "goodbye" once.
Whatever you choose to do, don't feel guilty about your decision.

Picked up the tickets. Flying out Friday to Seattle for the weekend to have sex with Dylan.
Talked things over with my friend & his fiancee and they wanted me to go to Seattle.

I was best man at a wedding 2 weekends ago. Not only could I have banged the maid of honor but the brides MOM was hitting on me all night as well!

Not exactly. The maid of honor dropped her pants and had me whip her with a belt so I did in fact hit her.
