It's more widespread that that. There's something happening out there... router congestion of some sort.

yesterday it was failing to load and giving errors a few times. our printer also disappeared from our router and we couldn't use it for hours, so it's probably what tossica's talkin about

What Toss said.
I'm having issues all over the place, and all of it intermittent.

But is NT worse than anywhere else? Most of my problems seem to be when I access this site. I have consistent load problems here and only occasionally on other sites.

the uoregon site works fine, but i honestly don't dig thru pages on other sites as much as i do here so i've only had a couple problems on facebook and that was it. i just assumed it was because i had the torrent client up and my bandwidth was gobbled up

For me, NT has been the "more problems" list rather than the "not too bad" one. I got a series of errors the other day for a good couple of hours, then it was suddenly fine.

NT is fine for me at work, and so is everything else for the most part.
at home, it lags sometimes, but not as bad as stuff like facebook and whatnot. or WoW, which lags like a bitch. but i'm told this has something to do with the patch or whatever?

So, is anyone STILL having problems with this site? The constant freezing of my system on this site is driving me batshit.

i haven't ever had a problem since the first day
i am using comcast, and in general, it's been really shitty the last few days. rapidshare is giving me 50k/s sometimes sigh
i definitely have never had a freeze while viewing the site tho

We have TWC...this is the only site I have issues with, though.
It's not like NT is graphics intensive or anything that would freeze me up like it's been doing.

I'd blame the niggers, muslims and fags if I were you.

Yeah...looks like there's issues in Atlanta that are flowing on down the line to Dallas. One of the hops in Atlanta timed out on me....which is what I'm guessing is happening every time I do anything with NT.

Timing out isn't necessarily a problem. Some routers just won't respond and that's normal. If you see LONG latency times between hops, that's when there is a problem.

Yah, a router not responding with it's canonical name is to be expected, honestly. What you're looking for is big latency hops, or worse, timeouts.
A good tool for doing this is called WinMTR. It's a tiny windows program, it combines ping and traceroute, basically, in that it runs a traceroute to the destination, and then runs continual pings to all the intermediate hops. Running a continuous sort of test like that can reveal issues that may not show up on a normal traceroute.
Also, check your admin post, I gave suggestions there too.

Turns out I had a bad sector on my HD that was smack dab in the middle of my Mozilla profile folder. It's been fixed so I'm hoping my issues go away.
And hopefully, it's not a precursor to a complete HD failure.

I'd prepare for the worst, often times it is a sign of things to come.

are the long latency times caused by niggers, muslims and fags?

It's Obama's fault.
