Woman burned her dog to death - the story:
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2 ... wner-dies/Petition is to the county to give the maximum sentence possible - no bleeding heart liberal comments, please. How anyone could do this to their pet is astonishing to me.

this is a really sad story. why didn't the neighbors try to stop it if they saw it happening? why did they just call the police, delegate the problem, and stand by and watch and wait for them to take care of it? it's just a dog and a crazy neighbor. i bet they coulda saved it some injuries if they woulda just ran over there and stopped her
wow

Two words in unfortunate answer: Kitty Genovese. Dunno why, but that seems to be humanity for you.

Fucking worthless cunt. Would love to see her ugly ass burned at the stake
they should hogtie her fucking ass and set her on fire, and it still wouldnt be enough suffering for her. This country is too damn soft. shell just be sitting in a jail cell getting a nice 3 meals a day and a place to sleep. she doesnt even deserve that. Fuck that humane treatment bullshit. Ohh nooo she suffers from mental illness.....burn her AND her 'mental illness' at the stake I say. Get her ass out of the gene pool

Yorkies are one of the shittier yappers out there, but the fact still remains that the cunt hogtied a dog, and tried to burn it alive. As much as I fucking hate cats, I would feel the same way. Burn her alive and let her see how it feels

I actually care more about aminals than I do humans - which is why I never sought to go to med school. A part of me sees the human being as nothing more than a multi-cellular *virus* that does nothing but replicate uncontrollably, destroy everything it touches and consumes everything its path (although technically a true virus doesn't really do those things - but it sounds good!)
We're about due for another pandemic... the herd needs a good thinning for true.

It's too bad that so many people forget, have no idea or just don't care that we are all exactly the same. The keyboard I'm typing on, the couch I'm sitting on, the cigarette I'm smoking, the dog looking at me...we're all just a bunch of spaces of energy that have form. Underneath it all, we are all exactly the same. Of course, what separates us as humans is the fact that we have a conscious mind, able to think with intention and create memories and perceptions. This is definitely the ultimate downfall for people like this woman, whose mind didn't grasp the fact that the dog she burned is ultimately a display of how she feels about herself. Because she is just a bunch of energy, and so is the dog, she and the dog are exactly the same. So, essentially, she burned herself.

After having to deal with a pretty severe infection my lab got on her face, I can't imagine her dealing with something intentionally inflicted on her by someone who knows the difference between right and wrong:

Pretty much the first cat I had as a kid (certainly the first I remember), I was like 5 at the time, and we kept her as an outdoor cat. Then someone, somewhere, while she was out wandering around, completely doused her in turpentine. Between damage to her lungs and nervous system from breathing it, and other damage to her internal organs from swallowing it when she tried to lick herself clean.... Well, when we found her back home at our place, she was pretty far gone, to that horrible hurt animal stage where they just look at you helplessly as if to say, "I'm hurting, you're the person, you fix it now, OK?" but there's just nothing you can do. We had to have her put to sleep, obviously.
Shitty memory to have as one of my earliest memories, I mean, I was a 5 year old, and she was MY cat, and seeing her like that.... *sigh* We never did find out who did it, but to this day, I think if I did find out, I'd make the guy bathe in and gargle in turpentine himself, and see how funny he found it when it was him on the receiving end. I will never understand the kind of mentality it would take to do something like that. After that event, by the way, every single other cat we had was strictly an indoor cat. Period.
