I'll be up there tomorrow, though I thought this weekend it was supposed to warm up to 20 or so.

It is still about 0 F here. Dropped down in the night, but a balmy 9 degrees right now!

We're having a heat wave here. Was 72 yesterday, gonna be 70 today. Now, I mean, normally California has mild winters if you're not up in the mountains, but this is ridiculous. heh.

Still, nice to be able to go out in just jeans and a t-shirt, while those of you stuck in the midwest are so cold your nipples are freezing off.

Man, I hate the midwest. rofl. (had the misfortune to spend 2.5 years in Kansas when I was young)

I have never experienced anything colder than 4°. That was Quebec City in March... and there was no wind that I remember so I doubt 'windchill' was anything. I hope to stay above 0 for my whole life.

long of it: the jetstream took a dip south and brought arctic air from north-central canada, but overnight tonight it will retreat back north and allow warmer air from the west coast to come in

speaking of poor canada, a canadian freelancer just informed me that his town's health advisory is warning pet owners not to take their dogs out for longer than 5 minutes at a time, tops, because of how cold it is. ;\ he says he's lucky to even have electricity and internet access still.

I've been in -30 before, a couple times. Once was in Eastern Washington, the other time was in Edmonton (I happened to be there during January one year). That's -30 not counting windchill, BTW. Though, at least in the first case in Washington, there was no windchill, was one of those completely still, completely clear, utterly bone-chillingly frigid nights.

Was -7 when I left the house for work this morning and got to about 7 I think at the most today.

so nice driving a diesel right now, just plug the engine up overnight and its nice and warm in the morning! ahh I love diesel trucks

And i wish it would fucking give us a big snow here soon. this 2-3 inch shit isnt enough to go out and make some cash money on the fourwheeler ><

i would actually love a big snow, too. we got a couple inches last night but meh. we haven't had a single good heavy snow yet this summer, which is really weird for these parts!
