Finally got around to setting up an rss feed for my media center

essentially it goes out and finds new torrents of the tv shows I watch, and downloads them into the proper folder for the media center to interact with

media center then finds the files, cross references them with IMDB, some magic happens in the back ground, and I end up with this:

I bet you could make some serious moolah setting that kind of thing up for people.

What media center are you running that with? I have been trying to do something similar but havn't found an rss feed that I really like.

that's Media Portal's front end (windows only)

I haven't had a chance to play with it's tv server portion, but it's looking promising

Thats one of the few I havn't played with. Will need to check it out and see how it goes.

Do you have media portal supporting mkv? Its been a royal pain in my ass getting it to work on any that I have been working with without having it transcoded on my server.

When mkv first popped up I was fucking pissed. It had almost no support and yet it was fucking everywhere.

(we are talking about the Matroska codec, right?)

you need Haali media splitter, and ffmpeg and that should be it
