I'm looking to pick up some (relatively) new DS games (like, within the last 2 years)... anyone have some favorites that really stand out?

Dragon quest 5 and 9
advance wars
contra 4!
infinite space is great
retro game challenge (an rpg about playing retro games!)
scribblenauts is amazing/frustrating
Soma bringer (you'll need a flash cart for this one tho, for the english translation)
The world ends with you
Legend of Zeldo, phantom hourglass was a hoot
I'm sure i'm forgetting a ton of great games, but the DS is just an embarassment of riches for gaming

seconding the advance wars games - turn based military strategy
zelda games always a safe bet
haven't been keeping up on DS stuff but tik's right there are a ton
(do NOT bother with the assassin's creed game though, what a pile of shit!)

altair's chronicles? i remember downloading a demo on the ipod and i think i (tried to) jumped a couple buildings before i uninstalled it. wtf

yeah something like that. luckily i bought it used, but i really wish i had that $7 back

Somewhat of a necropost...
Pick up the Final Fantasy 4 remake. It's fucking awesome.
It's SO much more difficult now it's almost frustrating at some points. It's definitely an amazing game.

I'm picking up a copy of Ghost Trick today. It's gotten some great reviews and I need a new DS game.
