I heard something about it a while back. I just wonder what all they will show lol. I 'heard' they are filming at a mine called Double Bonus, and if there i any truth to that, some of my equipment will be on it lol. I sold them stuff early last year. But like I said, thats just what I heard, I dunno what the deal is. I just hope they really get into it. One show I saw on coal mining was I think Dirty Jobs and it was a joke. They used some anthracite mine in PA that used equipment from the early 1900s. Now if they really go into it and show what modern coal mining is like, it will be interesting and cool to see, especially if they go to a major production mine like DB is, not a little pansy mine. It just will come down to production value like any other show I guess. Ahh i love watching mining equipment at work, if they can show that to a T it will be cool

Or showing a pillar section, that would be pretty cool. I was on one a while back and would have killed to had a video camera. You can watch the break coming down literally within a couple feet if they do it right, and can stand 20 feet back and hear it cracking, cracking, cracking, then all of the sudden BOOM the roof comes down right up from you

Lol I dont guess anyone else here gets the power boner I do from it. So cool watching from the other side of the break when a big miner comes eatting its way through the wall toward you. So much noise, so much sheer power, so much boner. It really takes a man to pick it up and do it. No chickenshits or pussies allowed. Maybe i'll get lucky and the show will be good. I dont watch a lot of TV right now

Call me a redneck or whatever rofl, but I love equipment and machinery, underground or not. Monster heavy machinery is fun to watch

/shrug dont know why you care so much, seems like every time I come here you ask that. I believe in it or I wouldnt have put money in it. Thats all I care to say on the matter. Its a long term investment certainly and could or could not pay off. A high risk investment, but thats the fun in throwing money around and having it to throw. But like I said, I still believe in it or Id pull out. Hes still working at it and Im still in it.

I think people wanted to know if it's something you are still involved in or if the dude took all the money and ran.

oh no sir everything is still movin. Actually I met with him a few nights ago. He is doing a speech and exhbition thing at some big HIV thing in Denver next month, and as far as moving forward, Canada and Europe are starting to get into it. Just not the USA, of course. I think Canada will be the first to give it a shot sometime. The first guys that he tested though he showed me a new lab report on, and they are all still completely on the up and up

I just talked to the guy a little bit ago and he gave me an interesting bit of info and I thought id share it. Theres a big HIV treatment conference in Denver next week thats the biggest one in the country for new treatment possibilities and he got invited to be one of the top speakers at it each day. He believes it will be a real breaking point for everything, and I sure hope so. Apparently its the perfect audience too because its not all pharm companies looking to rack in, its more people like him that are looking into alternate treatments and stuff of that nature

that show was better than I thought it was gonna be. Anyone watch it? Christ, welcome to McDowell county, West Virginia. Thats the roughest county in the state, along with the poorest. Actually its one of the poorest counties in the country, if not THE poorest like it was a few years ago. They go to work at the mine, go home and drink a beer, and go to bed, and thats about life. Gotta be hard to understand us if you never heard it haha. Im glad they picked a little ole mine to show what its really like, and a low seam one. The money tightness, production problems, and just downright raw and tough conditions.

I just wish they would have picked a bigger mine now that I talk about it with people. That is SUCH a small little mine. 7 cuts is 140 feet, and 140 feet a shift is absolutely nothing lol, and thats only a 1 section mine. I know a lot of mines around here running 4 and 5 sections and 400-500 feet a shift. The guys go into competitive mode and try to beat each other side by side and just run tons of it. Cobalt is a little outdated conditions wise too. It represents good small companies though. That company will be out of business before long though, as soon as coal drops back off and they cant get the 300 a ton they are getting now for it theyll be fucked. I did think it was funny how they all get so dirty before they even get on the section because the entry air is so bad. Ive seen it so bad its like going through a sheet of rain but its black lol, then you spend the rest of the day hacking and coughing up black stuff

are you talking to yourself or did i unwittingly block someone? you keep making posts that seem like they're in reply to someone but i don't see anything. or do you just keep having thoughts to add to your last one?
