I get it that you want to make a stink and stand up at first and shake your fist at overspending etc. But it's time to back off and get shit done. That way, no matter what happens, the Republicans win. If it fails, they can just say "see, we tried our best to stop this but the Dems pushed their crappy bill through", or if it works, then they can say that they fought hard until he end but finally got something done and saved the day.

But if they stand pat and submarine this debt thing, they're killing any shot they may have had for uprooting Obama in 2012 cause the whole nation is going to pin this on the Republicans/Tea Party/Boehner being asshats and not doing what every other president in 50 years has done.
