What will be their excuse for not fixing the bugs when people are paying a monthly subscription?

Non-instanced, public dungeons. The cringe worthy part for me is their estimate for reaching max level - 120hours.

I'm fine with that, as long as their design document isn't about dailies and raid farming at max level. At least they are using three factions, a la DAOC.

I sort of love the Elder Scrolls universe because it's not tainted by the d00dz crowd of MMOs. I'm not sure an Elder Scrolls Online would work for me.

it's not by bethesda studios anyway. it's zenimax online, parent company. todd howard is the only link. it's a totally different group of people, and the game is going to have worse graphics than skyrim. it looks kinda cool, but mostly silly imo. like lyion said, and for the same reasons, i dont think an ES MMO would work for me. guess we'll see

It sorta has to have worse graphics. It's an mmo. I mean, i'm not a programmer but I'm pretty sure that's the rule yeah?

yeah exactly, you can't go for photo-realism with 200 ppl on screen

i just dont' like how the pictures look in game informer. not to mention it's going to be a thousand years before anything i know about in that lore anyway

the real issue is i just don't play MMOs anymore. i log on to p99 to hear the EQ music and see the graphics for 15 minutes while i kill an orc pawn. that's good enough for me. playing an MMO is like a lifestyle change. can't do it anymore

The new EQ is such a different game. You really can log in, fuck around for 45 min and log out. Not as "fun" but certainly WAY more casual friendly.

It's fun to login for nostalgia sake, but EQ itself is really not that fun to me anymore. It looks like shit. The mudflation/grind system is dated. I really have no desire to play it, especially with so many more entertaining F2P titles, and co-op games.

I'm curious how Torchlight II will be, as I really enjoyed the first one. I'm not really a Guild Wars fan, so not sure if I'll nab that or not.
