So, I'm probably too old for this (43) but I don't care much. I tend to listen to music while at work but don't care so much for "words" as they distract me (I end up listening too hard to the music instead of grinding my nose).

Anyway, so I've gotten pulled in a bit to some of this crazy dubstep shit, makes me think of buck rogers back in the 70's or 80's.

I didn't realize how far one could go back and still "find" it. Someone posted this on the FOH board and I can't shake it out of my head :p

I don't know I'd even call this "dubstep" but it has that feel to it.

BTW, this would be the type of dubstep crap I'd listen to, I just don't have a whole lot of it so I fill the voids with Daft Punk, Chemical Bros, etc.

Thats more my style but I would imagine that most people feel the same way about my tastes as I do about dubstep.

this is 17 years old. to me, dubstep is trying to take the abrasiveness of something like that, or, aphex twin, or squarepusher, and put it into 2-step so people can dance. also repeating all the best sounds those types of dudes came up with for entire songs and ruining its novelty all-together i think
