Anyone planning checking this out? Launches august 27. I will be checking through ps3, if anyone wants to give it a shot.

And yes, I do realize the first attempt at this on SE part was a massive failure. But I'm checking it out anyways. Hopefully they learned some lessons and put them into a plan in their overhaul of the game. I didn't even try or know of the game their first try around at it, but at least from some vids I've watched on it and reviews and stuff, I'll at least try it

Maybe, I've been thinking about it. The ffxi was fun for a while, although it did become repetitive with the same mobs needing to be killed over and over.

semi-related: i am finally, finally playing all the way through FFVII after jersh bought it for me on steam. it's easier than i remember (though obviously having access to walkthroughs is quite helpful!) but storyline is still not my favorite. i like it better than i used to, though.

I started playing through that one recently again and im at around the temple of the ancients now or somewhere right around there. Its sad, I dont even need the walkthroughs anymore haha, and still bag every item and materia around

actually, the sprites got a lot smoother. still polygonal, but not as pronounced. idk, i'm enjoying it.

i would really love it if someone would do a full re-skin of ff6 and/or chrono trigger. leave the content alone, but bring it up to today's visual standards. that would be so awesome.

ff7 is the best ff. best storytelling, best dystopian setting, best side quests, best ff. 6 and 4 close runner-ups

Because curiosity. Aren't we adults? You said that, i wanna know why. Agreeing to disagree is fine. I hated it for no reason before i played it for the first time a few years ago and it flipped my opinion. so have you played it a lot or do you just hate it?

I'm with Brin on this. FF7 is dog shit. FF4 and 6 are great. The series took a quick nose dive into poopville after that and I have no desire to play anymore.

I just did a preorder on the ps3 store. Said if I did I could get access and start on the 24th rather than the 27 or whatever. So I guess I'll be checking er out tomorrow

I pre-ordered FF14 and will be logging in tomorrow on the PS3. I'm planning on playing on the Cactuar server.
