Just wanted to get a feel for how people rate the teams this year in the AL and NL. Who is in, who has a shot, and who is up and coming teams that could be a dark horse in the playoffs.

NL

1. St. Louis Cardinals
2. Atlanta Braves
3. Los Angelas Dodgers
4. Chicago Cubs
5. San Francisco Giants
6. San Diego Padres
7. Philedelphia Phillies
8. Houston Astros

AL

1. New York Yankees
2. Boston Red sox
3. Minnesota Twins
4. Anahiem Angels
5. Oakland A's
6. Cleveland Indians
7. Texas Rangers
8. Chicago White Sox

Thoughts?

I would take out the Astros and sub them with the Marlins. Everything else looks pretty good.

Only reason i put the Astros in and not the Marlins is that Once Pettite is actually back and pitching well, and they get Wade miller back from the DL, they will have a very strong starting 3. Couple that with an explosive offense in a stadium that you can put runs up in, i think they can go on alittle winning streak.

The marlins to me just look (no pun intended) like a dead fish. They just cant score enough, and shaky/inconcistant pitching. I just dont see them making a run.

i'm not sure sf has a shot @ sneaking in wild card style, but boyoboy, they sure do look imposing in a short series w/ mr. bonds. trimming one or two starters from that pedestrian rotation wouldn't hurt either.

their whole lineup is average shit (sans bonds of course) but they are veterans guys who can, maybe, light a fire under their own ass(s) and get shit done if they sneak in.

if.
