For me...

Favorite is the Hell Knight. The first time you run into these guys is impressive... and then you find out that they are all over the place, sometimes in tight surroundings (which sucks).

My lease favorite is the Revenant. I hate him because it's pretty hard to see one and NOT lose some health. I got pretty good at dodging the attacks of pretty much everyone else, but this guy always seemed to get me.

I love the lost souls. They are so well animated. And they made a good intro. for them.

I hate the trites and cherubs... mostly because there's always a million of them. And god forbid you let them get close enough to you to start whacking away at you. Then you can't even aim as you're getting hit. And there's always a few that come from behind. I just thought it was getting a little old after the 3rd wave.

But they did come in handy when I wanted to recharge my soul cube.

Edit: For the revenants, it's best to get up in their face with the shotgun, so their heat seaking rockets are useless at that range. And just move back when they try to swing at you.

The trick with the revenant is to fight them from around a corner, to counter their guided missiles. If you're in the open, you need to either plasma or chain gun them asafp and suck up the health drops.

Its interesting that many of the baddies have a preferred weap that neutralizes them. Plasma, Chaingun are my preferred two, with shotgun being very nice all around, and the Rocket Launcher good for those situational ranged deals..

I really had fun with this.. And playing late at night with the surround sound up is nice...
