I was at work.... but even so, the Olympics died for me after the Cold War died. It was great watching the USSR putting up their best against the US in an effort to show superiority... but, either I've just gotten more observent in my age (in other words not having noticed it before), or the Olympics now are just a bunch of pro athletes going at it.

you mean the 4x100?
if thats the event US was the tp qaulifier by 2 secs but marion jones fucked up the baton pass

no, it's called the 4x400. as in, each girl runs an entire lap before passing. and the US didn't even medal.

That was my favorite race in track.
Besides the vomiting after each race >< Seemed to be a common thing in highschool.

Both US men and women team won the gold medal in th 4x400 by big margins. The US men won silver in the 4x100 when they messed up the second baton pass.... lost to the british by 0.01 s . The US women didnt medal in the 4x100 when marion jones screwed up.
