The reviews I've seen have been 'bleh' did anyone buy this? I was sorta looking forward to it and was gonna trade some games in on it but now I doubt it.

I like the way the game looks and if it's anything like SO2 with regards to the battle system I will pick it up.

I have been hearing the same type of reviews Taxx, but havn't gotten a chance to play it yet, let us know if you do indeed get into it.

I imagine the reviews will vary depend upon where you look, obviously. One thing the reviewers have in common is that they all praise the battle system.

2 was roxxor mostly cause of battle system

old post, I know, but I have been playing this game non stop for a couple weeks now.

If you want a decent RPG that will kill some time , I recommend it.

Some downsides to it -

Story is freaking horrible, but you can ignore it.

I had to turn voice acting off, 10 second pauses between each line starts to wear.

But the battle system is just awsome, and once you beat the 'main' part of the game you get to do neat secret dungeons and finish leveling your guys etc.

All in all if you need an RPG to hold you over for awhile, I recommend it.

I absolutely hate the battle system. That combined with the only real interaction with the game being obnoxiously long and confusing dungeons (followed by movie sequences) made me quit playing, which is something I rarely do.

Star Ocean 2 was awesome, but this one bites imo
