They will probably release it in November...it won't be ready.

If Blizzard holds true to their extremely polished games, I would say April if they want it to be DONE.

MMOs are never completely ready. I think November Gold for a December release would be smart for them. They can get in the base features and they have a good product now.

Then again they might push it out until summer. Vivendi can't complain about Blizzard's revenue. Their games make money hand over fist.

I'd guess it'll be out by Christmas.

They are touting PvP as one of the end-games in the long run. The entire fucking pvp system isn't even in and they want to release in a month? Give me a break.

Warlocks don't have their pets, Hunters don't have talents, hunter's pets don't have any skills put in. The server crashes on a nightly basis. I really really wish they would hold off releasing until it's DONE. I'm not saying this just because I'm playing for free...If they promised me they'd have this stuff done by April, they can close the beta right now and I'd be ok with it.

Release the game and save the PVP implementation/servers for next year.

PVP server are ALWAYS based on the level race. If you release them when you release the game, it is a huge mistake because the beta guilds will own them.

PVP on the regular servers can be implemented in on a tiered system.

Beta2 has yet to crash on me, Warlock talents are in next patch, and the majority of the issues you are talking about WILL be in the game before it would hit shelves in December, so where's the problem?

The PVE aspect of the game is pretty solid, as is the design document.

For the idiots who want to burn through all the content 20 hours a day/7 days a week, yeah they'll end up waiting a few months, but to be honest if Blizzard peeves them off I think it's great.

Mmorpg.com is saying the rumor is November 15 because of Vivendi.

Is that a firm date, Tikker, or just suggested?

It's been Nov 17th for a long time now. I'd say it's pretty firm.

That doesn't mean it wont be pushed back, though. From what I've heard EQ2 is not ready for primetime.

Wow Nov 15 and not ready
EQ2 Nov 17 and not ready

They are going to both do a great job at pissing people off.

A lot less people will be pissed off at Blizzard other than the fact that they won't be able to trust them as much...Blizzard has a reputation to uphold...SoE's can't get much worse.

I think that Nov 17 sounds a little too early, it's less than a month away. They still have to put in the rest of the talents, and then worry about balancing the classes, blah blah blah. I think the middle to end of December sounds a little more logical
